The Ring and The Pink Panther

Please hurry and get into company as quickly as you can. When you enter the studio please begin warming up on your own. They will begin teaching "The Ring" at 12:55. You will learn a section and begin auditioning at 1:20. We really need to have auditions over by no later than 1:35. Meagan will begin teaching "The Pink Panther" at 1:40 sharp. She will teach a section and we will begin auditions at 2:00. Auditions need to be over by 2:20. We will begin the piece at 2:25. Come ready to work! Get rest! See you tomorrow :0)

WDC and Alliance Audition Information~

It is audition time again! Here is some information that might help you. Allliance is open to 9th-12th grade boys and girls. WDC is open to 10th-12th grade boys and girls. I am going by second term grades. You must have a 3.0 GPA second term or an accumulative of a 2.5 to audition. You can not have any I's, F's or NC's on your second term grades. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS REQUIREMENT! If you have any I's, F's, or NC's second term, they must be cleared on skyward before your audition. Here are some important dates for you to right down in your calendar.

Wednesday March 21 @ 7:00 pm in the Westlake Axillary Gym-This will be the parent meeting to receive information about the programs and auditions. I will be going over the audition procedures in detail and answer any questions. There will be paper work given at this meeting to be filled out in order to audition. If you can't attend this meeting, you need to have someone pick up your paper work. If you don't have the paper work complete on your audition time, audition will be denied.

Tuesday March 27 in the Westlake Axillary Gym-This is audition day one. Auditions will be ran like a master class. There will be four judges that walk around and judge you as you take a class from me (Mrs. Hayes) and a few of my seniors. If your last name starts with the letters A-M your audition time will be 3:00-4:30 pm. From 4:30-5:00 pm judges will meet to compare notes to see who is ready to move on to day two. If your last name starts with N-Z your audition time will be from 5:00-6:30 pm. From 6:30-7:00 pm the judges will compare notes to see who is ready to move on to day two. The dancers who get to move on to audition day two will be posted with their audition time on the blog that night.

Thursday March 29 in the Westlake Axillary Gym-This is audition day two. If you make it to this day it does not mean that you have made either Alliance or Dance Company. It just means the judges wanted to see more from you. You will audition in your selected groups at your required time. The times are the same as before. 3-4:30 pm, break, 5:00-6:30 pm, break. The final WDC and Alliance Dance Company will be posted by 9:00 pm this evening.
